Loose abstract watercolor painting: Blue sunset

Blue Sunset by Teresa Bui

I’ve been so inspired by those loose abstract landscape miniatures on Pinterest, so I decided to sit down, get myself comfy with a cup of hot tea, playing a video on Youtube called ” rainy piano relaxing ” in the background, while grabbing a brush and started painting. With loose abstract painting, I think your mindset has a lot to do with it. This style of painting doesn’t aim for perfection. Instead, it is how you communicate what you see through brushes and colors.

More interestingly, abstract allows people actually participate in your painting. It’s kinda like when we were kids, we liked to do cloud watching and tried to guess what kind of animal that cloud looked like, and everyone would have different opinions. I think it is similar to when people see an abstract painting, and that is the beauty of art.
